The Salon Art + Design 2012

The combination of contemporary art and design, mixed with ethnographic pieces speaks to the way people are currently furnishing their homes. The days of collecting in a single category of fine art or antiques have since passed. Adventurous collectors show a preference for mixing genres and artifacts. Reflecting the way we live now, The SALON is sure to be a destination for collectors, designers and architects with a preference for eclecticism.

THE SALON will feature 53 leading international dealers exhibiting the finest modern art and design from 1890 to the present, along with major works of ethnographic art. The roots of modern design are also represented by dealers of earlier material. Half of the dealers are members of the prestigious Syndicat National des Antiquaires, many of whom will be exhibiting in New York for the first time.
