Overview
Venus, the goddess of love, beauty, and sexuality, stands with her weight on her left leg. Her elaborate coiffure is parted in the center, bound in a chignon surmounted by a stippled and rayed stephane from behind, as four long corkscrew tresses fall over her shoulders. A diaphanous chiton descends from her right shoulder, leaving her left breast bare. In her right hand, she lifts the hem of her himation as the fabric falls in long folds behind her, flowing around the sides, while in the left hand, she holds a pomegranate.
